The Department of Vikruti Vigyan Avum Rognidan at Sau Vandana N. Tasgaonkar Ayurved Mahavidyalaya is dedicated to the study of disease pathology and diagnostic methods in Ayurveda. This department focuses on understanding the disease process (Vikruti) and its diagnosis (Rognidan) through both traditional Ayurvedic and modern scientific approaches.

Research in the department includes the application of Nidan Panchak, a comprehensive diagnostic framework, and the integration of advanced laboratory techniques for hematological, biochemical, and microbiological investigations. The department also emphasizes the importance of Ayurvedic diagnostic methods such as Nadi Pariksha (pulse examination) and Tail Bindu (oil drop test).
